(CNA) President Ma Ying-jeou on Friday, 29 described the country's workers as the backbone of Taiwan's economic development, noting that the government take better care of them later.
The President took the floor to commend the workers in the audience granted to outstanding workers selected this year, on the eve of International Workers Day, which falls on May.
